Each retainer is worn for about two weeks before changing retainers. You must have it on during all times except while you eat. It is difficult to assess how much time you will need to wear these clear braces as the timeframe is determined by the severity of the problem and by your response to the treatment. Therefore, the system of changing retainers every two weeks occurs until the teeth are in the right position. In many cases this system takes just as long, if not shorter than traditional braces.
